Bath Tub

Out with the wash water...

The manual valve supplied with the tub was replaced because it would be difficult to operate since the left ( drain ) end of the tub is obstructed by a cabinet.  The actuator switch is mounted over the tub, and wired through two junctions in the rear compartment to the valve below the tub.

12 volt power is supplied via the junction box behind the switch.  The same source also supplies the exhaust fan and LP Gas Detector in the rear compartment.

The supplied actuator switch/LED assembly is mounted on a single gang blank cover, mounted on a Wiremold NMV1, surface mount box.  Photos below show details of the installation.

Important note:   These photos show the original installation. See the note on the previous page about valve orientation...
Valve assembly/connection.  Perhaps difficult to se here, the 1 1/2" drain and plumbing is adapted to the 3" valve assembly with fittings from the DrainMaster manufacturer, PhaseFour Industries.
Lower junction, from rear.  This will be obstructed by furnace ducting, so there are no connections in this junction.
